LocoRoco is probably the cutest game I've ever played. Okay, simply because I can't think of anything else.

Still, would you look at that. Teeny tiny LocoRoco just rolling around having fun and all.

I've got a PSP go now and I've played the LocoRoco en LocoRoco 2 demo around 20 times now. It never tires.
Maybe I should buy one. Oh, so cute.
Maybe it's the music. It's so cute to hear that little voice, the cheery melody and then see those wobbly LocoRoco on screen, uttering strange but frustratingly cute noises. I can't stand it!
It's a platformer, surprisingly. I usually suck at platformers which is probably why I hate them. But this... I can't resist.

But Final Fantasy VII keeps me busy. It's good. Not epic though - yet. But it's fun. And the story is great.

8.6/10

Games still have the power to amaze me. This afternoon I was at my friend and colleague Dennis's place, together with Guan. We both had the chance to play the demo of Final Fantasy XIII. Which was awesome. Really. And that wasn't just because of the huge HD television. As the demo started, we saw some trailers of XIII and Versus (and Agilo, which wasn't that cool). Oh man. Those graphics. They are a lot more amazing than Advent Children. So realistic, so much details... You have to see it for yourself. The trailer on your computerscreen just doesn't cut it. Apart from the graphics, the trailer showed the characters (that Lightning chick totally rocks). Still, the story is kinda mysterious, but I bet it's going to be epic.
The Versus trailer was something else. It did make me think of Kingdom Hearts a lot, but maybe it was just the music. Anyways, there weren't voice actors yet, and there was this scene with a girl and I didn't really get it because I can't read Japanese. Nevertheless, it was swell.
So after that I started playing the demo, which pretty much was all about the battle system, because the story didn't really make sense. Yet. The moment I saw Snow I instantly fell in love with him. Battling was fun, and fast, and very dynamic. The camera angles spinning around all the time, which gave this really cool action movie effect. Yeah, I enjoyed it, even though it was turnbased (I usually don't like that on a console).
Oh man, I can't wait for this one, it's epic. Maybe I will even buy a PS3. It is so worth it. Omg, I'm such a fangirl.

I also checked out Tales of Symphonia 2, which SUCKED. How can they screw up this bad, I don't understand. At all. ;_; The graphics were DS-like, characters looked & acted like they're stupid. It felt like an awkward joke. I erased this one from my wishlist. That's for sure.
Resident Evil 5 was frustrating and totally not RE-like. Giant spider getting on my nerves and me running out of ammo because of it. Geez.
Killzone 2 was visually striking, yet kind of chaotic but that might be just me. It did look like a very good game. Though I would probably just panic all the time while playing.

And last: every superhero fan should check out Wolverine. Great action, great characters, great story, great music (Harry Gregson-Williams, hell yeah). I need to find the soundtrack. Oh, it's been a while since I have enjoyed myself this much.

Do you volunteer your time or donate money to any charitable organizations? Which ones, and why?

View 500 Answers

I have thought about doing this for a long time. I think it's important to give money to charity and help people or animals. So about a year ago I decided I wanted to donate. Because I felt like I had to. The thing is, there's so much that's important, that you don't know what to choose. I spent several months wondering what purpose I was going to give my money.
I have sort of a weakness for animals, so that was mainly what my thoughts were about. Climate change and such, the animals that perish because of it... Damn, can't wait 'til electric cars are common! However, I also heard some negative things about large organisations like WWF. But I didn't want to donate to small organisations that just focus on 1 kind of animal.
Then, a few months ago, I saw a large documentary about Unicef on tv. I saw what they did - help children, and entire villages get water sources. And more. I had the feeling they really helped. So after another while of thinking, I thought, heck, why not. I can spend months of thinking and nothing happening, so...
Since then I donate a few euros every month to Unicef. It gives me a good feeling, also, sort of a peace of mind. When someone of a charity organisation asks me to donate, now I don't have to feel bad - because I already donate. This reason may sound stupid or selfish, but I feel this way. I have absolutely no idea what difference my money makes. But it feels good.
Maybe, in the future, when I have a job, I will donate to animal charity organisations. Or maybe one that supports research on cancer. Because that, I think, is really important too. I know so many people having that disease, I even lost some people by it. It also runs in my family. Nice. =/

Thanks to Jessie for the awesome link to Writer's Block.

The only thing that wasn't new today was a blog, so I thought: heck, let's do one and make this pimpin complete!

As you can see I've made some changes and generally wasted my day doing this.
I'm quite satisfied with the new header - finally one I've made myself. Copying these things is lame anyways. Nothing personal.
Also, what took most of my time was this moodtheme. As you can see, the smileys had to make place for some hot Korean boys. Don't like it? Then bare with it 'cause it's not going to change. Tough shit. Oh my, I am so harsh, poor readers.
What else? I figured I'd just copy 'my dear friend' Guan and put games in that empty space on the sidebar over there. Gaming is my passion, so why not let everyone know about it. Like they didn't know already anyway.

Oh brotha, there I go again, already 3 AM and still not doing anything that I'm supposed to do (like playing games, god I gotta finish a whole lot of them).
Guess I'd better just go to sleep now. I've read that happiness doesn't last as long as worries. Something biological, always setting goals to achieve. Ugh, frustrating. I'm pretty happy now aside from my current moodswings, hope I can keep this up. After all, vacation is not forever.

I really really like to fill in lists and forms, as you can see in my first entries, but...
When I go looking for them, they can't be found ANYWHERE.
Why isn't there some kind of website with all kinds of lists on it, ready for users to copy it and post it in their blogs!?
Sheesh. How annoying.
(yeah, if you can find me a list I haven't filled in yet, please let me know.)
Or maybe I just fail at googling.
